In other news, once upon a time, a long, long time ago, Grace and I were talking and she was all ‘You should see if Amy Sedaris would be on your craft panel at Blogher.’ and I was all ‘Oh, ya. Right. Like that would happen.’ and Grace was all ‘No. Seriously. You should because it would be so great.’ and I was all ‘Dude. If I could make that happen I think I might crap my pants.’ and she was all ‘I’m sure you can figure it out. Go forth! Make it happen!’ (Insert pretty illustrations here showing me pounding the pavement.) And so I did. And Amy Sedaris is going to be on my craft panel at Blogher along with Kathy Cano Murillo, Kristin Roach, and the fabulous Natalie Zee Drieu. And then we all lived happily ever after.
G E T O U T!
how cool is that!!!
I don’t get all star struck. In fact, I find the whole obsession over celebrities as a really big weakness/sickness. Having said that, I love me some Amy Sedaris. Like, if I weren’t married and she were inclined in that way and she were then inclined in the way of the mihow, I’d do her in a second. And then I’d ask her to make me a bunt cake or a Jello ring.
So, this might be a tad personal but… did you crap your pants?
yes, aaryn. yes i did.
Ohh! I’m so jealous. Nashville is not hip enough to do this. Hell, I don’t know if we have any bloggers (besides me)…
Congrats about Amy! That’s totally awesome. I would more than crap my pants. I think I’d have a seizure.
That could not be more fucking cool.
Very cool evening–kudos to you and all the bloggers who read. My only comment is that before starting, the bloggers should state their name, the name of their blog, and perhaps a sentence or two about their blog (or themselves). Also some more in-between MC-ing would be fun. Maybe you could say a few words about the various people before bringing them up to the stage. Great job, everyone!
Hey Danny – thanks for coming out. I appreciate your feedback. I went back and forth deciding whether to make more out of the introductions and then decided to just keep it simple and have more time for the actual readings. But both Joe and I felt afterwards that there needed to be a little if not a lot more to make it feel more friendly. It might be that we have 8 readers instead of 10/11 and that’s fine. Hope you come back next time and read! : )
