You can tell the kids are here when there are delightful piles of things like backpacks and dirty socks around the house and the cat is hiding under the bed. I love it. Why? Because it doesn’t happen often enough. I don’t get to complain and nag as often as I’d like. Which totally puts me off the normal mom-nag ratio. Other mom’s don’t understand when I tell them I actually love to hear the kids arguing in the other room. Because that means they’re in the other room.
On Sunday, we melted at the swap meet. I got a ring. So did Joe.
I also got new tank-tops and toe rings.
Joe got sunglasses.
The kids got magic-trick red foam balls, pc games and a shoulder beach bag.
And the best part? Coming back to the parking lot and finding the car right away. That doesn’t happen that often.
I’ll tell you what else doesn’t happen often. The keys were locked inside.
But wait….there’s more…..The car was running.
Yes. You read that right. Not only were the keys locked in the car but the car was running. The entire time we were walking around the swap meet, my car was exercising. It lost 5 pounds, easy.
Thanx to AAA, we were back in the car in 30 minutes. Love those guys. And Tony entertained us with magic tricks the entire time so it didn’t seem even that long.
