I hate MLMs. Someone starts to say ‘Multi Lev–‘ and that is the end of the conversation. So imagine my discomfort now that I’m using a product that is The Rad and love it. Imagine how I feel now that I want to tell everyone about it but am afraid to open my mouth since the patches themselves are so great but come along with a distribution system I don’t want to support.
It’s hard to ignore how great I feel. Dude. Anyone have any ideas? I’ve spent the past 3 or 4 days reading all kinds of papers and supporting studies as well as tons of people that call it a hoax. The main thing I noticed, though, is that almost all of the people talking bad about it had never used the patch. Also, the placebo effect isn’t far out of my mind. But there is just too much good stuff happening in my body to be all placebo. Has anyone else used the Lifewave patch?
As many of you already know, please feel free to email me if you don’t want to leave a public comment.
Think about it – if the product truly did what it said it did, why would they sell it via MLM instead of retail?
The reason is because MLM is all about the social circle, about putting a sales cycle into an interpersonal relationship. The product is secondary… it’s just there to provide legitimacy to the whole endeavor.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking some vitamins or “nanotechnology” is making you feel better, you feel better because you believe, because you are part of the ‘lifewave vibe’.
I’m not disagreeing with you. I hate the marketing and distribution system of an MLM and it makes the whole thing feel dirty and shady. And I don’t plan on participating in it. Have you tried the patches? Out of exhausted desperation, I started using them. And they are working for me. And since it isn’t just ‘a little’ bit of difference – it’s a whole lot – it makes it hard for my head to argue with the rest of my body. Which makes me feel more than a little strange about the whole thing.
So what if it’s a placebo effect… the power of positive thinking, of believing, is so much more important that we (as a society) give it credit for. Kids with cancer visualizing PacMan munching cancer cells in their bodies beat the cancer….
So, if it works, and you like it, keep using it.
MLM while irritating, is does not necessarily mean the product is junk. Does tupperware qualify as MLM product? You can’t buy it in a retail store.. . what about Avon?
🙂 Jenn
thanx, jennifer. : )
Grrr, anyway to make the email not required? Just wrote a long post, forgot the email and when i hit the back button, message was gone.
Just wanted to say that I agree about MLM but that doesn’t necessarily mean the product doesn’t work, especially if it’s working for you. I’m listening to hynosis CDs to lose weight and friends have made fun of me but it’s working and that’s all the proof I need.
Like the others have said, if it makes you feel better, who cares how it does it? Placebo or not, you’re at least feeling an effect – & that’s what matters.
Now, while I have your attention, I have some products from The Pampered Chef I’d like you to look at…
Elise – i have to keep the email required to protect form spam. sorry about that. what is the name of the cds you are listening to? they sound pretty great.
GOB – i actually love pampered chef products. but if anyone asks me to host a party they risk being punched. : )
Ahem.. the LifeWave website says that nothing enters the body – that transmittance is via “the human magnetic field”… so this is in the same category as the copper bracelet and other such life-changing pseudoscience.
I’m not saying it’s bunk… but if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck… etc.
Hi there,
Hey I’m not here to rain on your parade but there is one very suspicious point to consider about this product.
The Lifewave people lay claim to all kinds of college research, double blind testing and such, and there is also supposed to be newspaper articles that have been done about this product, but when you do an on line search you come up completely empty handed.
In fact the only pages that have anything to say about this product are either from people selling it themselves and parroting the information that they received from Lifewave, Or on forums or blogs such as this one…that are full of questions from people who can’t find anything on the web to validate this product.
So based on that I would have to say something isn’t right here…never mind that it’s MLM and the fact that even Lifewave can’t tell you how it works.
Your thoughts on this….glad that you feel better no matter what the reason is!
Regards….
Ray
In response to Sassy’s post about the reason Lifewave is MLM vs. retail . . .
There are other reasons this product is being distributed via MLM that are largely overlooked. One aspect is that as an individual, you can say anything you want about the benefits of the product. You can say it cured your cancer. Of course, the “company” cannot necessary support this claim due to governmental regulations (FDA). However, this IS largely why MLM works.
The other reason is that for a start-up, MLM is a fast method of distribution. Richard Kyosaki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, Donald Trump and Anthony Robbins all claim that if they had it to do all over again, they would go MLM!
This is all not to say that the Lifewave product isn’t excellent. If Leah says it’s good, I believe it! I myself have been an MLM distributor (New Vision and Vemma) and I actually do believe in the products, unfortunately, I wasn’t aligned with my upline, but not because of the quality of the products. But that’s another story.
If you are supporting the products, Leah, because you believe in them and their power to help people, that’s all that matters!

I recently got involved in Lifewave after trying the product. It is absolutely awesome! Yes I was skeptical. Who isn’t. The compensation plan is great and the support is there. They have done extensive tests on the products thus far and there is basically nothing that is negative. Usually people who do not succeed in MLM’S are the type of people who really don’t succeed in a so-called regular business. It’s up to the individual to achieve their goals. No one else is in charge of that. Get involved now while it is still new!
thanx for your comment, jeremy. i am still using and am feeling really great as is my sister and most of my co-workers and friends. it’s hard to argue with so much success.
I found this site searching for info on lifewave and/or it being a hoax. A friend of mine convinced me to try it out, so I finally did. I’ve never been into MLM, even though I like Anthony Robbins & Kyosaki et al, and I’m incredibly skeptical when it comes to MLM products that supposedly ‘cure cancer’ etc.
However – I have used the patches, and they made a huge difference. I’m already in great shape, I’m really in tune with my body, and I’m a strong believer that my mind can get the body to do what I want it to when I’m working out, so I know it wasn’t just placebo effect. It really did give me 30% + more endurance on # of reps, and it gave me a ton more energy when running sprints.
Basically, I look at it the same way I do creatine – creatine is not a miracle drug, it in itself WON’T make you stronger / buffer / faster etc. BUT, it does allow you to work out harder – bcoz it allows you to achieve more repetitions before burning out – and thus you see gains.
So with Lifewave patches, if they do the same thing or better than creatine without wrecking my kidneys, then I’m all for it. And for the record, for those naysayers who like to pick at any little inconsistency in people’s posts, I had not been taking creatine for over a month when I tried them out. So the difference was completely from the patches.
hey iceman,
thanx for dropping by and for your comment. i’m happy to hear from someone that is having the same type of experience as me. it seems much more credible to believe what someone says after they’ve tried it than to believe someone that thinks it’s a hoax but refuses to try it out to find out for themselves.
rock on.

The reason it’s a mlm is the product needs to be
explained,it’s new technology,you don’t need a
teenager at gnc who does not care trying to
educate someone on this type of product.
Look at your response so far,how many are rebuffing
this product and they know nothing about it.
Hi Leah, Found this page from a search of LifeWave, hoax. Curious about what’s been said. Noticed that all the postings are old. That appears to be a good sign, or you’re just not using this site any more? If you’d like a bit more understanding of the patches, do a search on vibrational medicine. It’s as old as time itself. Some of the stuff you’ll find is kind of “far out”, but lots of scientific reseach also. I don’t understand the nanotechnology part of the patches. But I do know that EVERYTHING around has a frequency, which affects us, good or bad. Including that cell phone most of us would never want to live without, which we are now being told can cause brain cancer because of the frequency they use. Hope this info from a former massage therapist helps. By the way, one of the first things taught in my massage therapy class was regarding energy of the body and being sensitive to it, i.e. feeling someones pain, literally, from the energy (inflammation) of the body. Hope you’re still a happy patcher. You ain’t seen noth’n yet! 🙂
