Yeah, now that I’m doing some more photography of my own, I’m realizing that morning light really is the best. This is one of the most impressive shots I’ve ever taken, and it was all about how awesome the setting looked in the morning light.
The only challenge for me as far as shooting in the morning is concerned is the fact that you have to do it, like, in the morning … which is a time of day I could live without. Not that I’ve slept past sunup in five-plus years, but still …
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is: Nice shots. I particularly like the shadow from the blinds on the paint (paint? on a canvas? I can’t tell) . Very cool.
I really like those grapes! I try to use morning light when I can to take my etsy shop photos. They seem to come out best.
By the way I just read your essay in, “Things I Learned About My Dad”. Really well written and brave. I enjoyed it very much.
Take care,
Lotta
@Daddy Scratches – That is a nice shot! Morning light rocks. Yes, it’s a painting (work in progress) on canvas.
@Lotta – Thanks so much. I really enjoyed being able to write about my dad.
